Balloon Books


Starting March 1st the students will begin creating their Balloon Books. We will have finished learning about Hot Air Balloons and will end the section will a fun project. The students will be writing their own stories about their adventures as they travel around in hot air balloons. Imagination is not limited in this project! At the end they will have a great book that they've made on their own to keep forever.

Science Day


On March 16th we will be having our annual Science Day! Grades 1-4 will be taking part in many science activities that grades 6-8 have put together for the students. The students in the upper grades will be coming down to help us learn more about science. The students will be making different projects that have to do with what they are learning at a particular station.

School News

Eden Christian Academy will be having an Open House on April 5th. Make sure to come in and see all the wonderful work your children have been doing all year. Snacks and refreshments will be provided. There will be a board meeting on April 1st. If you as a parent have any complaints or suggestions you may write a letter for them to go over or if you would like you may come to the board meeting.

Guest Speaker

We will be having a guest speaker coming in to talk to us on March 30 to speak to us about belugas. Dr. Hansen is a trainer and works with belugas on a daily basis. He is a great speaker and this will be the 2 second year he has come in to talk to us. Check out this video about belugas.

End of the Month Party

We are having our usual end of the month on March 31! We will be taking the last part of the day to relax and enjoy another month of school completed! Kids may wear their pajamas to school that day. Make sure to send your kids to school with a snack or refreshment for the whole class to share. Students with the last names A-K should send a snack and students with the last names L-Z should send a drink. We will also be watching the movie Finding Nemo to introduce our section about Ocean Life which we will be studying in April.

Reading Reports and Posters

The students have to read a book and write a one page paper on what the book is about as well as making a poster telling us about the book. The students can choose between four books to read. Here is the list of books.

Classroom News

The second half of our third grade year has been going very well. The students have been learning so much and having fun this year. They have been excelling past expectations in all their work this year and I am so proud of all of them. Do not forget that at the end of this month the third grade will be presenting their play, The Little Red Hen. They have all done such a good job practicing for it so make sure to come and watch your children put on an amazing show. Tickets will be on sale starting next week. Parent teacher conferences are shortly approaching so mark your calendars so you do not forget to attend. Drinks and refreshments will be provided.
